Milan Institute, a private post-secondary organization, is currently searching for an experienced Curriculum Specialist to oversee curricula development from the corporate level.  Our organization has schools located in California, Nevada, Idaho, and Texas. Overview: Reporting to the Director of Education, the Curriculum Specialist is responsible for providing curriculum expertise to the Education Department.   This position will develop, edit, and refine coaching/training materials that assist in the delivery of defined curriculum.  This is a remote position that can be based from any location.

Education, Experience, Skills & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field or equivalent experience plus 5 years of relevant work experience designing and developing instructional curricula; Experience in vocational education a plus; Minimum travel; Home office work is allowed; Excellent organizational, project management and communication skills; High degree of flexibility; Ability to interact with a wide variety of people; and a strong proficiency in MS Office Suite.

11/3/08 - Financial Aid Officer Needed

NTMA Training Centers of Southern California, a private non-profit trust organization with 2 campuses in the Los Angeles and Inland Empire areas has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, results-oriented Financial Aid Officer to work at our Norwalk, CA campus.  This position will be responsible for packaging students for Title IV funding.

Financial Aid Responsibilities: Educate potential students about financial aid, grants, other funding sources; Review all Title IV paperwork with students to ensure their understanding; Review tax documents, financial aid paperwork for completeness and accuracy; Follow-up with students regarding any pending packaging issues; Update all funding into Transcript Database; Report status of packaging to Campus Director and Financial Aid Director weekly; Follow-up with students who have account balances; Assist with default management; and continually acknowledge students throughout their program for retention and timely payments.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience in financial aid for postsecondary school/college; Exceptional customer service skills; Excellent organizational skills; Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, EDExpress, and have database experience (preferably Transcript); Professional, team player, excellent communication skills; Bilingual Spanish a plus; and some local travel required.

We are an accredited vocational school seeking an experienced professional MA Program Director that will also have the ability to teach.  The applicant must develop, implement and evaluate the program curriculum. Provide for all aspects of classroom and laboratory instruction.

Job Qualification and Requirements: Medical program certificate, diploma or AA degree preferred in a related post-secondary or professional-technical education program and three years of recent experience in an area related to the needs of the position; Minimum of 40 hours of experience in and ambulatory health care setting performing or observing administrative and clinical procedures of medical assisting.

Ex’pression College for Digital Arts has an opening for a Financial Aid Officer at our Emeryville campus. Ex’pression College is unlike any other arts college in California. We feature an accelerated style of learning, professional grade art and sound recording studios, 24x7 access, and dozens of faculty with significant industry experience. Ex’pression is accredited by the ACCSCT and offers Bachelor degree programs in Sound Arts, Game Art & Design, Animation & Visual Effects, and Motion Graphic Design.

Responsibilities: Conduct financial aid interviews, including counseling students on available funding and assisting in completion of applications with required documentation. Also responsible for completion of subsequent financial aid package(s) as necessary; responsible for tracking down student progress on financial aid package to ensure completion within 3 weeks of enrollment; performs analysis on family contribution and aid index for campus-based funds and awards such funds; review campus-based funding availability on a weekly basis and must have excellent customer service skills, be detailed oriented and able to multi task.

Ideal candidate will have previous financial aid experience and/or accounting experience. BA degree in Accounting or related field is highly desirable, or equivalent work experience will be considered. Knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs preferred. Outstanding customer service skills and upbeat personality with a sense of humor.
