Legislative Information

State Legislation Pending 2008

AB 1927 (Galgiani) would require campuses to accept units from career technical education courses as credit towards the completion of the school’s nursing education program.

Previous Legislation

SB 45 (Perata) this is the updated version of AB 1525 which extends the Voluntary Agreements and recreates the BPPVE. This law is currently scheduled to expire in July of this year.

AB 1525 (Cook) This legislation created the Voluntary Agreement requirements including the requirement that students be notified whether your Institution did or did not sign the Agreement.

AB 1182 (Neillo) This is failed legislation that contained the Governor’s proposed reauthorization for our sector. Very similar legislation to this bill is expected to be submitted by Assembly Member Neillo soon in this 2008 session.
