Scholarships Information for Students
The CAPPS Memorial Scholarship Fund is a new scholarship program established to honor the memory of two remarkable women who had an amazing impact on the proprietary school sector in California.
All student's attending CAPPS Member Schools offering programs in Cosmetology/Massage/Esthetics or Allied Health disciplines should apply for these scholarships. Four scholarships in the amount of $5,000 will be awarded in September at the CAPPS Annual Conference to the four students - two in Allied Health and two in Cosmetology/Massage/Esthetics - chosen by the CAPPS Memorial Scholarship Fund Committee.
To be eligible for one of the scholarships a student must have already be enrolled in a cosmetology/massage/esthetics or allied health program at a CAPPS Member School. We will begin accepting applications after June 1, 2008. All applications are due by 5:00 pm, August 8, 2008.
To Qualify For Both Scholarships- You must be a US citizen and reside in California.
- You must be enrolled in a CAPPS Member School. Listing can be found at www.cappsonline.org in the Member Directory. A transcript or other proof of enrollment must be submitted with this application.
- You must submit an application with a 1-2 page essay (please see the application for exact details).
- You must provide three letters of recommendation (please see the application for exact details).
- You must have a high school diploma or the equivalent as approved by the State of California
- The application and all supporting documents must be sent together in one envelope.
