As AI becomes integral to nursing, AI involvement becomes key to nurses’ job satisfaction

The portion of nurses regularly using AI is skyrocketing. Last year only 15% fell into that category. This year the slice is almost half the pie—some 44%.

Encouraging as the growth must be for healthcare AI vendors, only 8% of nurses say their organization has spelled out what it wants them to do with the technology.

One in five report that AI tools show up in their workflow, unannounced and unexplained, and nearly half, 46%, say they received no AI training over the past 12 months.

Meanwhile winning nurses’ buy-in seems a non-priority to the decision-makers selecting and installing the AI products: Just 8% of surveyed nurses say their employing organization brings in any frontline workers at all on the front end.

The findings are from San Francisco-based Incredible Health, whose main business is running a digital career marketplace and AI platform for healthcare recruiters and jobseekers.
